He creates dynamic, fluid forms influenced by the rhythmic movements of the sea and the dramatic landscape of the Cornish Coast. Brought up the by sea, he would watch shapes thrown by the Atlantic Ocean as waves rolled up, sea creatures cut through its waters and yachts sailed across its horizon. The natural ergonomic shapes created by nature are translated into sculptural seats which are robustly constructed yet appear to almost float in their designated space.
